Job blockout time
Job blockout can be used to stop user from creating jobs in certain periods. For example of your business is closed for a public holiday then a blockout period can be created to prevent staff from creating a job on this day.
To create a block out time you just need to navigate to Admin → Administration and select "Job blockout times" under the the "Job Configurations" section of the admin page.
Below is a screen shot of the search screen showing block out time already created.
Adding a new blockout period
Click on the "Add" button on the search screen. A pop up window will appear. Below is a description of each field:
- Reason - A description of why the blockout period has been created. This is displayed to the end user as a part of the error when job is created or moved to the blockout period.
- From time - The start time of the blockout period
- To time - The end time of the blockout period
- Enforced - This determines if the user will be warned or prevented from creating the job in the blockout period:
- "Warning" to warn the user when creating or editing jobs in the blockout window
- "Error" to prevent users from creating jobs during in the blockout window
Once filled out click save to save the new blockout period.
