Mobile push alerts
Push alerts are sent to the mobile device for Apple iOS and Android devices. These alerts are sent when various action are taken within the Crittah web application. The list below explains each action that can send a push alert to the drivers mobile device:
- Shift Assigned - When a new shift is assigned to a driver within 7 days of the shift starting the driver will receive a notification that that shift has been assigned
- Job Assigned - If a job is assigned to a drivers shift and the shift is currently active (i.e. The current time is between the start and finish time of the shift).
- General notification sent - You can send a general free text notification to a driver if you need to inform them of anything important. This notification will make and audible sound and appear on the mobile device screen. To send a notification to a driver you can navigate to Admin → Administration → Send driver notifications. Select the driver(s) and type in the notification to send and click send.
On Apple and Android devices, the owner of the device can to turn off notifications for each application in settings. If Crittah sends a push alert to a Crittah App and notifications are turned off on the device then nothing will happen.
