Creating a Region
Overview
Crittah's LCMS Region module consists of the ability to create one or more defined areas on a map for the purpose of job allocaton and optimised vehicle allocaton . Regions are typically related to routes, shifts and drivers as a set of requirements that relate to an organised job. Once the Region record is created, you can view and edit information pertaining to the Region as you better optimise or exand your workforce via the Routes and Regions sub menu located under Planning on the navigation bar. This documentation will cover how to create a Region and assign the various details and options available from within the module.
Region Fields
The Route module contains a number of stock fields which come out-of-the-box with Crittah. The below definitions are suggested meanings for the fields and their use.
Any field name with an asterix on the input screen is mandatory.

The region management screen is shown below describing the controls that you will use to create/edit and view regions
Create a region
Create the Region by selecting the polygon icon ()option at the top of the map  from the icon setÂ
Select the location on the map to be defined by clicking to place the first point and then clicking again multiple time to draw the polygon. When completed click back on the first icon and the polygon will complete the drawing and shade the area in.
Once the polygon is drawn an item will appear on the left of the map with the same shading as the polygon that was just drawrn. Ensure you then Name and Describe the region, noting that they are mandatory fields and save your newly created region
You are then able to edit the region shape and size (area) by selecting the hand tool and moving the points as needed
